Samuel Eto'o's meddling in Cameroonian politics finally stirs a battle between him and Cameroonian football veterans in the likes of Roger Milla, Antoine Bell and others. As earlier iterated, a coalition would be the best means to have absolute incontestable victory. Akere Muna,  Maurice Kamto and Cabral Libii were also rumored of forming a coalition which was allegedly ruptured by suspicions about Cabral Libii's UNIVERS party being a hidden wing of the CPDM party. In less than 48 hours, the coalition, if successful, would be made known once the leader of the coalition would be decided upon.

In a bid to help redress the distress and killings plaguing the anglophone regions of Cameroon,  some artists united and made their voice heard territory wide.
