For almost 2months, Ahmad threatened Cameroon he was going to withhold the AFCON hosting rights from Cameroon.
Early October when the pressure reached its apex, Ahmad told the public that the right to who will host the AFCON will be made known after Cameroon's October 7th elections.
On the 2nd of October, Cameroon, after seeing the way things were turning out against them, decided to act promptly.
Like the saying goes, "impossible n'est pas Camerounais", the Cameroonian government sent Samuel Eto'o to bring home the CAF president so his mouth be sealed.
Few hours after his arrival, Ahmad said this to the press...
"THE CAF HAS NEVER THOUGHT OF RETREATING CAMEROON'S AFCON HOSTING RIGHTS. CAMEROON IS THE ONE TO TELL US WHEN SHE IS READY.
OR IF SHE NEEDS MORE TIME. FROM THE WAY WORK IS ONGOING, I CAN TELL CAMEROON WILK BE READY"
