After going unconditionally for a draw with Iceland in the opening game of the world cup, The Argentine star, Lionel Messi felt a preak of disfavor pouring down on him.

Lione Messi feeling depressed after Croatian victory.

His situation worsened off yesterday after they received a 3 goals to 0 defeat against Croatia, halting them at just one point so far.
The Croatian defense line was well organised such that it succeeded to cut Messi completely off the ball.
Despite all struggles to change the tides of the game, the Barcelona striker could not have any much influence as him alone can not make up a team.

Nonetheless,  pressure from Argentines and supporters world wide are targeting only L. Messi, forgetting to know that football is a collective sport and and the success of a team depended on each and every player, the coach being prime.

The pressure mounted upon him after yesterday's games made him to react to the fans.

"I know I have ran short of my fans' expectations,  both in Argentina and the world at large.
I just wish to let them know that I am not God. I may play at my best but if God says the contrary, I can not change anything much. I just pray for better days ahead as football itself remains a game of surprises.
I love you all and will make you proud sooner or later"

It's been just about 10 hours after he said this but almost half of the world has already reacted to it, expressing their love and support to him.

"Whether Messi scores or not,  he remains the best of all times. To achieve glory, you must learn how failure feels.  Success is best appreciated through defeat and there is no great player that never had tough times in his career". This was a comment from one of the fans that caught the attention of many eyes.

As the fans wait the upcoming game, they keep their fingers crossed,  expecting nothing less than a miracle.
