Abakwa women unleash the "Takumbeng" during peaceful demonstration.

The population of the north west and south west regions of Cameroon are out on the streets again for a round of peaceful demonstration so as to urge the government seek quick and durable solutions to the problems plaguing the aforementioned regions.
The movement this time took the phase of an ancient traditional practice in the grass fields called the 'Takumbeng' movement. This is a special sacred movement manifested by women following powerful traditional norms and regulations. the Takumbeng is not very renown as it is only manifested in situations of great desperation and extremity in whatever be the case.
The Takumbeng has been unleashed a couple of times in the grass fields of Cameroon as shown below;
26th May 1990, prompted by the killing of about 6citizens during a pro democratic manifestation.

1992 presidential elections, when Fru Ndi was places under house arrest, the Takumbeng surrounded the compound to prevent his formal arrest.

1998, the Takumbeng provided a safe trip to Fru Ndi for a diplomatic mission abroad.

 The strength of  the Takumbeng is found in their powerful  ritual practices and the peculiarity of their dressing during such calm protests.

As of now, the peaceful demonstration has met with some resistances from the forces of law and order. This has led to several injured persons and a life lost as of now. The day is not over yet

Did Hugo Broos truly resign after after receiving 4 against 0 from super eagles?

The game of Friday 1st of September 2017 left the Cameroonian team so sour after conceiving Four goals to zero from the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Hugo Broos over the CRTV acknowledged the defeat and refuted all rumours of him sending in a resignation letter. He said the team is working out on their lapses in order to give better results in the return leg come today Monday fourth here in the Ahmadou Ahidjoh Stadium. Choupo Moting is also working on recovery schemes from the injury he encountered during the game. As we look up to the forth coming game,  we hope the lions will defend their stand as the African champions they are and prevent a double humiliation from the super eagles.
